Food Handler Card Training
Please select the food handler card training that applies to the state, city, and/or county in which you work.
If you do not see training for your area, it could be that it is not a required by the governing health department.
ARIZONA
Please select the select the correct training for the
county in which you work, as it may be different from where you live.
If the county is not specified below, please select the
State of Arizona training – only choose one of the two providers listed.
The difference between the two courses are the provider who created the training and the price.
Both providers are reputable and their training is accepted throughout the state.
- Pima County – This county does not have a food handler card requirement; therefore, no Food Handler Card Training is required.
- State of Arizona – Select this training for all cities/counties in AZ, except for Pima County.
CALIFORNIA
San Bernardino County has their own county-specific training portal. If you do not work in San Bernardino County, please select the All CA Other Counties link. Please select the training for the county in which you work, as it may be different from where you live.
Please have your Associate Number and Store Number ready. If you are a new hire, this information can be found in your Onboarding Welcome email.
Different language options are available within the training course.
You will be paid 1 hour and 45 minutes (105 minutes) for the time spent obtaining this card. If your training and test time took longer than 105 minutes, please complete this form or contact the Associate Support Center at (949) 509-6311 to ensure appropriate compensation. Once the course is completed, please give a copy of your Food Handler card to your Store Manager.
COLORADO
The state of Colorado does not have a food handler card requirement; therefore, training is not required.
- Aurora/Arapahoe County (Tri-County Health Department): Same as state
- Colorado Springs/El Paso County: Same as state
- Lone Tree/Douglas County (Tri-County Health Department): Same as state
IDAHO
The state of Idaho does not have a food handler card requirement; therefore, training is not required.
- Ada County: Same as state
NEVADA
Please select the correct training for the county in which you work, as it may be different from where you live.
- Douglas and Washoe Counties - These counties do not have a food handler card requirement therefore, no Food Handler Card Training is required.

Clark County Currently, SNHD is the only accepted provider for food handler card training for our Clark County stores.
OREGON
- State of Oregon - Select this training for all cities/counties in Oregon
TEXAS
- State of Texas - Select this training for all cities/counties in Texas
UTAH
- State of Utah - Select this training for all cities/counties in Utah
WASHINGTON
In Washington, a food handler card is referred to as a Food Worker Card. There are two options to obtain it. NOTE: The only site approved for online food worker testing in Washington State is foodworkercard.wa.gov.

Option 1: Online Testing Take the online training course and pass the test.

Option 2: In-Person Testing Attend an in-person training course offered by the local health department of the county. Food Worker Cards obtained in person are also valid across the state.
